Please find below Lockdown update ( No 8 ) regarding the Club’s ‘Battle plan to survive’ during Covid – 19
Whilst we are not out clapping on a Thursday night the NHS and carers continue to do an amazing job and we are all so grateful for their hard work in getting us all through this. As the Government goes about easing lockdown we need to continue to the follow guidance issued.
We have received guidance documents issued by the FA on 12 June for re-starting football activity during Covid – 19 – providers of outdoor football facility’s. The guidance provides details of the measures necessary in order to safely open the clubhouse. We are currently reviewing the document to understand what we will need to introduce and the approvals needed before the clubhouse can re-open.
Following a video call meeting between SCEFL and the FA on Friday 19 June the latest update can be seen on https://scefl.com/.steps-5-6-meeting-19th-June The update shows different scenarios on when a re-start could be considered but they are clear that at our level we can only start when spectators are allowed. The next update in planned for July, let’s hope we can have a more definite date at that time.
We are delighted to announce that main sponsor Cemplas have renewed their sponsorship with the club. The relationship built over the previous season with Tony and Liam Blencowe has been a huge plus for the club as we seek to move forward. As part of the sponsorship package Cemplas will gift a new first team kit to the club with their name on the front of the shirts. Last season’s kit will be kept and used within the club. On behalf of everyone connected with the club a big thank you to Tony and Liam.
We are working hard to attract sponsorship to the club, this is such an important revenue stream for us, so if anyone has any potential contacts please pass them on. We can announce that the following companies have signed up so far : Eco-Repairs, London Drainage Services Ltd, Joint Tec Services, PA Supernat, Oaks Estate Agents and we hope see them at the clubhouse soon. Thanks again to Liam Blencowe for getting these over the line.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to our GoFundme appeal following our break-in soon after locked down. The sum of £950 has been raised and this will go towards the internal repairs to the clubhouse and we have commenced replacing our CCTV system.
The club has been awarded a grant from Surrey FA under its Football Fix-up initiative. The money will be used to improve the front entrance to the clubhouse with landscaping, fencing and to re-decorate the kitchen area. We will be arranging a date for when we will be seeking volunteers to help with the work and Surrey FA can come down and be part of the celebration. Thank you Surrey FA.
