A week earlier Sevenoaks were top of the table and Croydon second, but with only a few points separating the top ten in the Southern Counties East League Premier Division, other teams have pushed Croydon down to eighth prior to today's game. It was a bad day in the office for Croydon who saw Sevenoaks dominate proceedings at the Arena. Surprisingly Alex Hewitt only conceded two goals today considering the number of chances coming from Sevenoaks. By the time Sevenoaks chances went in all directions towards the goal, it took twenty minutes when a Croydon free kick was caught by keeper Greg Benbow, followed by Matt Weller's shot also going straight to the keeper. For a while Fidan Fejzi's passes went past his markers but a ball going in the direction of Stefan Josephs was intercepted by Sevenoaks. Matt O'Donoghue's shot went straight to Benbow and an attempt by Fejzi went wide of the post. Hewitt made a great save from a Sevenoaks forward but having successfully defended one corner, the second Sevenoaks corner was poorly defended this time and Jack Miles took the lead for the away side.
Croydon equalised in the second half when following a cross from the left, Joseph equalised in the 57th minute. But Sevenoaks held possession for a lot of the second half, and like the first half, had most chances. Jeff Duah-Kessie did try to dribble past an opponent only for the ball to go straight to the keepers hands, only for Sevenoaks to have another shot on goal, albeit wide of the post again, soon afterwards. Then Joseph had an attempt, which finished just wide of the post. Five minutes of stoppage time was of no help to Croydon, and the three points went to Sevenoaks.
