With Duah-Kessie injured, Lauris Chin started this game, as did youngsters Levi Shango and Stefan Joseph as Stephane Bombelenga was ill and Lolu Ojo still recovering from the injury from the previous game. Just as Spurs win the cup when the year ends in 1, Croydon won another game when it was pouring heavily with rain (apart from the Tunbridge Wells game when Croydon lost). Croydon had an early chance to take the lead when an opponent fouled Levy Shango and the Trams were given a penalty. Jamie McGeoghegan took the penalty which unfortunately finished wide of the post. Previously a free kick also went wide of the post but this time it was a free kick from Fidan Fejzi. Croydon took the lead on 25 minutes when Lauris Chin making a trademark run down the right, crossed from near the corner flag and his shot went behind goalkeeper Adam Molloy into the far corner of the net. Callum McCallister attempted a chance, but his shot went high over the bar. Erith had a couple of chances, as did Croydon whose chance was saved by Molloy. McGeoghegan was given a free kick, which was taken from the touchline and caught by Molloy. The first half ended with a heart in the mouth time, when it looked like Erith scored from a corner which reached the far post, but the ball had actually was held by Alex Hewitt.
Five minutes had gone in the second half when Chin almost scored for the Trams. Croydon kept the possession for a fair amount of the half, and Croydon extended the lead on 77 minutes when after a pass, Bradley Wilson's shot went past Molloy to make it 2-0 to the Trams.
