Croydon 3 Bearsted 0

Croydon dominated proceedings on Saturday, buoyed by a crowd of 88 celebrating National Non League Day, and ending Bearsted's six match winning streak into the process. Croydon's first chance came in the 10th minute when Fidan Fejzi's shot went over the crossbar, followed by one from Stefan Joseph a few minutes later. Marvin Armstrong took the lead for Croydon in the 21st minute with a header, although the ball might have come off the head of Bearsted defender Cameron Croucher, who failed to stop the ball going into the net. Croydon continued to possess throughout, and there were also attempts from Bradley Wilson and Lauris Chin, and Fejzi. Bearsted did have one chance in the first half from former AFC Croydon Athletic player Ehis Izukan that went wide of the near post. But Chin succeeded on 43 minutes when his shot went past Scott Andrews after a corner.

Chin was off the mark soon after the second half whistle blew, only to be stopped by Matt Gardner. Graeme Andrews also brought down Chin, whilst Fejzi's chance was pushed out by Andrews, and Chin was substituted afterwards. There was a good combination between Wilson and Chin's substitute Sam Johnson, both passed between each other and each had a chance, the first cleared by Andrews and the second finishing wide of the post. However, in an action packed last six minutes, Marvin Armstrong got a straight red, Andy Somo got two yellow cards and Jeff Duah-Kessie was also booked. But Duah-Kessie scored Croydon's third four minutes into stoppage time before the whistle blew for full time.
