SE Dons v Croydon (Playoff Semi) – 27/04/26

Trams season ended five days earlier than they had hoped when they faced their nemesis in the Play-Off semi-final. And for the second season running to the same opponents! Croydon gave a committed and disciplined defensive display and were clearly determined not to lose but the well-resourced home team had that little bit extra which gave them the edge. The hosts first chance came in the first minute a free-kick to the rear upright caused palpitations but Albert Penney got down well to deny...

Lordswood v Croydon FC – 18 April 2026

Lordswood v Croydon FC – 18 April 2026

In the penultimate weekend of the season, Croydon qualified for the SCEFL promotion playoffs. Croydon were on top from the start, crossing to his right and aiming on target only for a clearance from Lordswood. Alex Arif very soon made an assist, but Cameron Macmillan's shot was cleared. Another chance from Kanan Fitton led to a corner, taken by Red Jenkins, but Croydon's Alfie Clark, not to be confused with his Lordswood namesake Alfie Clark, had a chance that was cleared. Lordswood finally...

Croydon FC v Greenways – 11 Apr

Croydon FC v Greenways – 11 Apr

CROYDON FC 1 - 1 GREENWAYS Croydon missed the chance to definitely qualify for the playoffs as Greenways, in a place below them and also with an outside chance for the playoffs, equalised with a 93rd minute goal. However, for Greenways to qualify for the play offs, even with a game in hand, they would have to score twenty goals to overcome Croydon's goal difference, and Croydon would have to lose both the remaining matches. But for Croydon, one win would have meant certainty to the play offs,...

Croydon FC v Lewisham Borough – 28 March

CROYDON FC 1 - 1 LEWISHAM BOROUGH Croydon are still unbeaten in the League this year but missed the opportunity to match a record of consecutive League wins.  The game started with a cross from George Palmer going to the right post that was cleared by Lewisham. Then Cameron Macmillan made an attempt, again from the right, but couldn't get past the Lewisham defence. A Croydon corner led to an Alfie Eldridge header, only for it to be eventually cleared. He did have another attempt, which only...

Staplehurst Mons v Croydon FC – 21 March

STAPLEHURST MONS 0 - 1 CROYDON FC Croydon won their eighth match in a row, gaining three points, but having to wait ninety-seven minutes to do so. An early chance saw a Croydon corner cleared, and Cameron Macmillan missing the target. Then Monarchs' forward Oliver Lankshear made a run towards goal, but goalkeeper Albert Penney cleared the ball, and soon a corner to Monarchs was given. Then came a second corner which Croydon cleared as well. There was a long ball to Tom Barton who crossed...

HALLS ATHLETIC 0 - 2 CROYDON FC Croydon stay unbeaten in 2026 after a 2-0 win at Halls Athletic. In fact, the Trams remain unbeaten in SCEFL Division One in the latter half of the 2020's. Croydon got a free kick early in the game after Kanon Fitton was taken down. Tom Barton took it, but Alfie Eldridge's shot ended wide of the near post. Then Tom Walters had a shot that landed on top of the net. Croydon goalkeeper Albert Penney came into the game after thirteen minutes, making his first save...

Sheppey Sports v Croydon FC – 7 Mar

SHEPPEY SPORTS 1 - 2 CROYDON FC On a cold and drizzly Saturday there was a game happening on the Thames Estuary between Sheppey Sports and Croydon. Jack White had a corner early on, it fell to Charlie Dale with a good shot on target. However, it ended just wide of the post. In the early stages of play, Croydon were all over Sheppey with good chances from Kanan Fitton, Cameron MacMillan and Olusegun Akinwunmi. And on the 16 minute mark, the chances paid off as Croydon took the lead with a...

London Semi-final – 28 Feb

WIMBLEDON CASUALS 2 - 0 CROYDON FC Wimbledon have made a habit of reaching county cup finals and this wretched display by Trams let them get through to their third in the London Senior Trophy. Casuals are more than a useful side, especially on their artificial surface, knowledge of the vagaries of their turf being used to their advantage and how to play the surface.   Casuals have a well-disciplined line-up  which invites opposition on to them and forces them to run up blind alleys. This...

Lewisham Borough v Croydon FC – 26 Feb

LEWISHAM BOROUGH 1 - 2 CROYDON FC Our sequence of six successive away games opened with a short trip up the railway line to Ladywell Arena where we encountered obdurate visitors scrapping for points to ensure their own survival.  We did not produce a vintage performance but at this time of the season, winning ugly is what counts and that we did, in my view scraping through.  But there was a bright start to the game with us attacking early on before matters degenerated slightly. Boro went close...
